White Rock Contracting has done several different jobs for us. Derek and his staff are knowledgeable, polite and on time. They have cleaned our gutters, replaced an exterior door and replaced rotting moulding around our doors. They are reasonably priced, come out on time and are very good at communicating about the projects.

What comes up most

- Knowing what to expect. Reviewers mention communication before and during the job. On our end, that’s the written budget and scope, change orders you approve before any work happens, and schedule updates in the JobTread client portal.
- Showing up and finishing. People mention crews that showed up on time and stayed on it until the job was done. On one fence job, the gate came in backordered. The crew kept after it and worked in the rain to finish.
- Fair pricing. We’re usually not the cheapest bid. We price for good materials, permits, proper insurance and livable wages for the crew. Reviewers have still called the final bill fair and reasonable.
When something isn’t right
Five stars doesn’t mean nothing ever goes wrong. Materials get backordered. Demolition turns up rot nobody could see. Weather moves the schedule. What matters is what we do next.
While the job is running, tell the crew on site or call the office. If fixing it changes the scope or the price, you get a written change order to approve before any of that work happens. Nothing gets added to your bill on a verbal OK.
Before a job closes out, we walk it with you and build a punch list, and we issue a Notice of Substantial Completion, which starts your warranty. On full remodels and design/build projects, you don’t pay the last 10% until every item on that list is done.
Every job carries a one-year workmanship warranty, roofs included. It covers problems that come from our installation or construction. It doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, damage by others, or weather. Defects in the materials themselves fall under the manufacturer’s warranty, which passes through to you. For example, Trex Select decking carries a 35-year limited warranty and Trex Transcend a 50-year limited warranty.

- Tell us — Call (812) 605-2560 or email info@whiterockcontracting.com. Photos of the problem help.
- We reply within 1 business day — Same as any other call we get.
- We come look — We schedule a warranty visit within 7 business days to see it in person.
- We fix it or tell you why not — If it’s our workmanship, we fix it under the warranty. If it’s a material defect or weather damage, we tell you what we found and what your options are.
